Lee Martin and Paul Bradby Win at 2011 Petit Race

The 2011 Petit RC Race once again took place in the UK but this time at the Ardent Raceway after the previous venue of Maritime Raceway were unable to confirm the hosting due to concerns at the time over their building. Being located in central England, a large percentage of the entry was from the UK, although there was also many top drivers from around the World present including defending champion Jör n Neumann, TC World Champion Marc Rheinard from Germany, Hupo Hönigl from Austria and Shinn Adachi from Japan. In 2WD, Racer columnist and Tamiya driver Lee Martin took TQ ahead of Jörn and went on to win legs and three to take the win from the prototype Durango of Jörn with Paul Bradby (Associated) third.

In 4WD, Racer-sponsored Paul Bradby took pole and the win with the new Associated B44.1, now powered by Speed Passion as he replicated Lee’s wins in legs one and three from the previous day. This time, Hupo Hönigl’s Durango would take the runner-up spot with Marc Rheinard’s Tamiya in third.
