Bradley Baird and LRP Win Round Four of Irish Nationals

Powered by an LRP ZZ.21C Ceramic engine, Bradley TQ’d and won the fourth round of the Irish 1:8 off-road Nationals. The race took place at the BADMCC facility, where the track was in best condition. Q1 and Q2 were dominated by Christopher McCauley. Bradley struck back in Q3, while in Q4 Christopher and Bradley were neck and neck and had it all to play for the overall TQ. In the end, the LRP driver took TQ with Arron Vance third. Andrew Rennick was the big name in the B final, working from the bottom of the pack to take his LRP-powered car to the main final.
Rain made the start of the A final challenging with track conditions changing significantly. After heavy showers, the sun dried the track in minutes. The 45 minute final saw some very close racing between the former truggy National champs. In the end, it was Bradley Baird who defended the lead to take his second win of this year’s championship. Christopher McCauley finished second and Alan Scroggie secured the third place on the podium. After four of the five rounds, Bradley has two wins and a second place going into the last round, and Christopher a win a second and a third place, so its all to play for in Navan at the final round!
