schumacher-PetitRCLast weekend was the ninth running of the PetitRC Race in Terrugum, Portugal. As long time sponsors of the event, Schumacher team members Tom Cockerill and David Poulter were in attendance, along with drivers from Poland, Holland, France, Germany, Spain and Portugal. The track was a permanently laid outdoor Astroturf track, with plenty of jumps and a good flow, which made for some great close racing.
The event format was for free practice on Friday, 2WD qualifying and finals on Saturday, and 4WD Sunday, allowing plenty of track time for all the drivers.
2WD qualifying was led by Tom Cockerill, taking TQ followed by Fabio Ramos and David Poulter completing the top three. After the triple leg finals, the top three would remain in qualifying position with Tom taking the win.
