Ronald Völker at VRC Pro 2011 Virtual World Championships

Multiple European and ETS champ, Yokomo, LRP and Shepherd factory racer Ronald Völker will be competing in two major VRC Pro events in December. He will race at the 2011 Virtual Worlds 1:10 nitro that will be contested at the Pegaso track in Mexico. This event started on 9 December and will run until 22 December, facing some fierce competition from fellow German Frank Hättich who has specialized in this class and has won almost every single event thus far. Young Italian Kevin Pignotti is the dark horse and is currently leading qualifying in the 1:10 nitro Worlds - see here.

Then on 16 December, Ronald will also compete in the 2011 Virtual Worlds 1:10 ISTC at the Eppelheim indoor track, home of the annual LRP Touring Car Masters. The 2011-2012 track layout will be used and it will be interesting to see if Ronald can back up his 2011 LRP TCM title on this very same track with another victory, but now in VRC Pro. Nicola Marrone from Italy is currently holding the lap record at this track at 13.324 seconds, but that is likely to be smashed the next two weeks.
