Robert Wins EIR with DEX410

The Euro Indoor Race or EIR grows in popularity each year an 2011 was no different. The event was held over the weekend of 5-6 February at the ‘Black Country Arena’ complex in Charleroi, Belgium. The track was a technical but fast one with an Astroturf surface and attracted a strong field of international drivers. In 4WD, Team Durango driver Raphael Robert from Belgium took overall TQ in a closely fought battle with team mate Sebastien Wartelle. Both drivers achieved the same score in qualifying with pole going to Raphael as he had a faster time. The top two were joined by two more Team Durango cars in the A final.
The A final was spread over an astonishing six legs with the best three to count toward the overall. Raphael took the top spot in rounds one and three, with a second place to back them up to take the win for Team Durango. Sebastien Wartelle took fourth, Michiels Eric fifth and Bennardo Gilles was seventh.
