Justin Gilkison Takes CORC Championship
The Canadian Off-Road Championship concluded with the final event of the three-race series over the weekend of 3-4 September. Justin Gilkison made the trip up from Sultan, Washington for the event and took TQ in Mod Truck and 2WD Short Course before going o to win both classes. The Championship series is three races and Justin was unable to attend the first one so the pressure was on at Kelowna. “Both of my X Factory trucks were great all weekend,” Gilkison said on his way to winning the series Championship in both classes in just two races. “The mid-motor X–60 stadium truck and mid-motor SCX–60 Short Course are so easy to drive fast – they have made me a better driver. I could lay down the power in the rough technical sections.”
