Losi Success At Cape Fear Invitational

Cape Fear Raceway in Fuquay-Varina, NC held the Cape Fear Invitational. In Invitational Buggy, the qualifying was extremely close, with the top 5 being within 5 to 8 seconds apart each round. Travis Dupree was able to drive his Losi 8IGHT 2.0 with the Nitrotec Engine and Nitrotane Fuel fast and clean enough to take the TQ spot. In Open Truggy Travis Dupree took the TQ spot with the Losi 8IGHT-T 2.0.

In the Open Truggy Main, Team Losi Racing driver Mike Kendall was able to put a great drive in which would allow him to capture the win.

In Invitational Buggy, Travis jumped out to the lead and proceeded to gap the field quickly. Barry Pettit started a push to gain ground on Travis, getting within 6 seconds early in the race. Travis was able to set a pace for himself, with longer fuel mileage than any other driver and fast pit stops from his pitman Layne Leffleor, which would allow him to eventually go on to win by 3 laps during the 45 minute A-main. Privateer Kevin Bullock finished 4th running a Team Losi 8IGHT 2.0.
