CML Sweep Astro Challenge Podium

Last weekend Frankley Model Car Club hosted the Podium Racing Astro Challenge. This new 2-day event was well supported with some top drivers from the Midlands and proved to be a happy hunting ground for HoBao and Team Associated drivers.

HoBao Team Leader Jon Howells led the way with a dominate performance in buggies taking his RB/Byron/Savox powered Hyper 9 Pro UK to victory around the demanding Astro Turf venue. Backing up Jon in the top 3 were Mathew Lawrence (RC8/Reedy) and new Team Associated Acadamy recruit Joe Adams (RC8/RB).

As always Jon was supported (and supporting!) fellow HoBao Hyper 9 runners Rob Cockcroft, Lloyd Pitt and Mitchell Booth making it a busy day in and out of the CML/Hobao pit van. And let’s not forget intrepid pitman Kevin Bourne always on hand with the fuel gun!

In truggies Josh Powney blasted his Byron fuelled Team Associated RC8T to victory.
