Jason Lim Signs for Acorn Racing
Acorn Racing has signed Jason Lim, one of Brunei Darussalam's top drivers to join their factory team. With well over ten years of racing experience in nitro and electric 1:10 and 1:8 locally internationally, he is amongst the most respected, competitive, successful and fun drivers in the region. Moving on to electric 1:10 touring car two years ago, Jason is still driving competitively in the region with multiple TQs and wins. After testing and competing with the all new Acorn MAD Series LiPo 6000mAh 65C prototype packs, he was impressed by the “power, punch and consistency” these new cells can deliver. These cells ran a full eight minutes in conjunction with an LRP SXX TC Spec and LRP X12 4.5T motor in the modified class category. The cells were balance charged at a whopping 10A constant and is showing its full potential throughout the race. Jason will also be using the all-new flexible 12AWG wire and Precision Engineered T6 Duralumin pinion gears from Acorn Racing in the 2011 race season.
