EFRA 1:12 European Championships Hinckley – Day One

This years 1:12 Euros got underway on Friday afternoon with the first two rounds of qualifying. The Associated R5’s of Juho Levanan and Olly Jefferies had looked good in practice and they converted that form into a one-two in round one of qualifying. In round two Olly took the fastest time but he was a quarter of a second shy of Juho’s time leaving the overnight order Juho ahead of Olly, Ronald Volker is looking strong in third but these three look to have a clear advantage over the chasing pack in the early stages of the meeting.

In the Pro Stock class its UK Hot Bodies driver Andy Moore that heads the overnight leader board, next up is Marc Fischer for Corally. Making it two Brits in the top three is Chris Kerswell with his V-Design.

Young Brit Charlie Ware had a good first day and he will be hoping to hold on to his tenth place as four more rounds get underway on Saturday.
