Team Orion's Jilles Groskamp Wins TC Modified at Snowbirds

Tamiya/Orion factory driver Jilles Groskamp took TQ and the win in the TC Modified class of the annual Snowbirds Nationals held in Orlando, USA. Paul Lemieux set the early TQ in qualifying with his Xray until this was bettered by Jilles in the very last round. His new Tamiya TRF417 equipped with the latest Orion Vortex modified motor was fast the whole weekend and after some set-up changes, he was unstoppable in the last round taking TQ by one second over Paul.
In the final, Jilles was chased by Paul and Josh Cyrul, but they never got the chance to pressurise Jilles as all three ran a flawless race that saw Jilles win from Paul and Josh. For Jilles this was the second time in a row that he took the highly competitive TC Mod rubber title.
