NEXT MONTH
September 2009 Issue On Sale 6 August 2009

Serpent S120 – there is little doubt that the Serpent 1:12 scale chassis is stunning with fantastic quality in abundance and an awesome one-piece machined section at the back of the rear pod. As expected, there was a long list of 1:12 racers eager to put themselves at the top of the review list.

Losi L8ight Model – based upon the 8ight platform, this Losi chassis is rather unique in looks and design being modelled on the dirt oval race cars that are so popular in the US.

X Factory X-6 Squared – the X-6 Squared is the result of lots of time and effort spent by the race team developing new parts and improvements to the original model. Throughout 2008, Ellis Stafford along with Brian Kinwald and Paul Sinclair made notable tweaks to the overall design and come up with stronger, better performing chassis that is not only faster but easier to build and maintain. After spending last year running an X-6, our reviewer compares old and new, on and off the track in next month’s build of the X Factory chassis.

BRCA 1:8 Off-Road Tiverton – the racers head to a new venue for 2009 and a trip to the south west of the UK for the second Astroturf race meeting in Tiverton.

True Blue – we test the manually controlled tyre truer from Fastrax that’s free of gimmicks but still offers a top quality job. We invest in some donuts and get them mounted so we can put the unit through its paces with our usual great tips and advice along the way for you to learn from.

BRCA 1:10 Off-Road Oswestry – the electric off-road series makes a return to the Welsh borders and their second round at Oswestry. Despite the continued absence of Neil Cragg, the entry was still packed with top racers and world championship-quality drivers. Whilst Phil Sleigh and Tom Yardy hoped to add to their wins from Talywain, the rest of the entry had other ideas.
