LRP’s Successful Licence Application - After planes last month, the March issue sees Jurgen Lautenbach spreading the news of a pair of Mercedes-Benz DTM licenced replicas with two Scots at the wheel.

Area 51 GP – Racer will be attending the first major indoor race of the year at Chipping Warden near Banbury as the Silverstone club hosts the inaugural Area 51 GP for 1:10 off-road buggies. With top drivers like Darren Bloomfield, Tom Yardy, Lee Martin, Tom Cockerill, Ellis Stafford and Elliott Boots in attendance, this will be a chance to see how some of the National Championship favourites would shape up for 2012.

HPI Pulse 4.6 – the latest HPI machine we have received here to test at Racer is the Pulse 4.6 RTR – a 1:8 off-road buggy that is race ready at a fraction of the cost of its competition. Equipped with an oversized 4.6cc engine, this Pulse has bundles of power and life is made easy for the owner with a pull-start as standard. Other notables include a 2.4GHz radio set and waterproof servos making this model stand out from some of its lesser spec rivals.

TLR 22T – using the knowledge gained from the 22 buggy, TLR has released their second chassis from the platform and the 22T stadium truck. With the same mid and rear motor options, the 22T has the potential to be raced competitively on any surface around the world and they include two bodies in the box as standard for the perfect fit. With testing carried out by top drivers including Dustin Evans and Mike Truhe, we find out from the TLR design team about the development process that they took with the truck and what we can expect from TLR in the future.
