X-Factory UK/MIP Product Preview

X-Factory UK first announced back in August that they had been appointed as the new UK exclusive distributor for MIP products of the USA and they are pleased to say that the full range of products are now here in stock and ready to go.

MIP are world famous for their ground breaking CVD driveshafts found in thousands of RC cars around the world. Well to coincide nicely with X-Factory UK’s appointment comes the introduction to the UK market of the all new C-CVD with new secure locking ring and no requirement for a securing grub screw.

Shown above from left to right are C-CVD’s to fit the Associated B4, Traxxas Jato and the Losi Mini T series. In all C-CVD’s are currently available for nearly 20 of the current most popular buggies and trucks on the market.

There is also still a huge range of original CVD’s available too including Standard, Shiny and Aluminium versions. There is also a range of “Splined” CVD’s designed especially for many of today’s trucks and rock crawlers. These offer an ultra smooth operation combined with super strong build quality.

Tools and Set Up Systems

MIP’s range of tools and set ups systems is quite impressive too. The range of Thorp hex wrench drivers, which are some of the best made precision wrenches available at present are available in both imperial and metric sizes and also include popular sizes available in ball ended versions too for hard to reach places. Each wrench features a hardened steel high precision tip for the best fit on the market combined with a comfortable, easy to grip, non slip handle.

MIP are also famous for their Tweak Station, the balance set up tool originally designed for touring cars and 1:12 scale to help identify and eliminate tweak in a cars chassis. Well they are back and now they are available in a choice of three sizes – Standard (1:10 TC or 1:12), Micro (1:14 to 1:18 scale) and Large (1:8 scale). Also in the tool selection from MIP is the Tire Scuffer, an extremely specialised tool designed to remove flashing and to rough up the bead on your tires to help the glue to bond when they are mounted.

The second of MIP’s specialist tools is the Bearing Juicer. Clutch bearings on any car require constant maintenance and re-lubrication to remain at their very best. What the Bearing Juicer does is very simple but also very effective. The two piece device will allow racers to re-grease 5 x 10mm shielded bearings quick and easy. The added benefit to the MIP Bearing Juicer is cleaning out old lube when you squeeze in fresh new specially formulated MIP orange grease.

The way the MIP Bearing Juicer works is simple. The device seals both inner and outer bearing races, allowing grease to be forced around the bearing front shield, through the ball bearings and out the back shield, a process which takes only seconds.

Also for the Nitro enthusiasts, they produce the TG-3 On board Temperature Gauge for keeping a checking on your engines heat whilst running.

Optional Tuning and Upgrade Parts

As well as the C-CVD and CVD driveshafts for most cars MIP also produce many other optional tuning parts too, below we will run through some of the most popular ones brand by brand

For the range of Team Associated cars many optional parts are also available including hardened alloy top shafts (B4, T4 and SC10), Complete Ball Diff kits (SC10), Steel “Super Diff” Outdrives (RC18 series), Heavy Duty and Lightweight alloy spools (RC18R), One Way front diff units (RC18 Series) and Nitro Clutches (RC10GT and Nitro TC3) as well as CVD or C-CVD’s too (B4, T4, GT2, RC18 series, RC18R and SC10)

For the range of Axial Rock Crawlers are various versions of the CVD driveshafts, including the Splined types and even special sets to be used in conjunction with the DIG set up.

The range of Exotek mini vehicles are largely based on models from Associated and Losi and you will be pleased to know that most parts continue to fit the Exotek versions too. Items such as spools, one way diffs, CVD’s, C-CVD’s, alloy topshafts, slipper plates, ball diffs and alloy front axles.

For the range of Team Losi cars many optional parts are also available including Hardened alloy top shafts (Mini T and Mini LST series), Complete Ball Diff kits (Mini T series or Mini LST series), Splined CVD’s (Mini Rock Crawler), Hard Coated Slipper Plates (Mini T series or Mini LST series), Alloy front axles (Mini T series) as well as CVD or C-CVD’s too (XXXCR, XX4, XXX4, Mini T series, Mini LST series, Mini Rock Crawler and XXXTCR).

For the range of Traxxas cars again many optional parts are also available including Complete Ball Diff kits (Slash or Jato), Nitro Clutches (T-Maxx 2.5, T-Maxx 3.3, Jato, Revo, Revo 3.3) as well as CVD or C-CVD’s too for all Traxxas models.
