At the first round of the AKA winter series at Fairlop Kevin Brunsden dominated proceedings in the buggy class. Following on from his wins at Frankley and Clanfield Kevin is finding the form which could see him make a serious challenge for the National Championship.

In second position making it a one-two for Team Brunsden was Kevin’s dad Steve (Boiler suit Brunsden) also running an MP9 Racing. The ever popular Steve Johnson completed the podium in third.

In the Truggy Class Big Mark Gregory took the win with Tom Upsom in second and Darren Mills in third.

Many races were cancelled on Sunday, however the Fairlop club did a fantastic job of making sure the newly made track was ready, a real achievement after all the bad weather the last few weeks.

With help from some of the members from DRT and Westmill the race went ahead without any real problem except for some missing laps which was blamed to the new layout missing part of the timing loop, this was quickly fixed with a temporary chicane, Kevin Brunsden explained he had some laps not counted because he was going so fast! (Nice try Kevin)!
