Reedy/AE factory team drivers Neil Cragg and Craig Drescher began the 2010 BRCA Nationals in dominating fashion. Round 1 was hosted by FMCC on the Astroturf track in Frankley, England. Under sunny British skies, Drescher secured the pole position for the Final after a close battle with Cragg and Elliot Boots. The Final featured an epic battle between Drescher, Cragg, Boots, and Darren Bloomfield. Driving, handling, power, and fuel economy all played a role in an outcome that was in doubt until the chequered flag.

Crossing the finish line first with his Reedy powered RC8B was Neil Cragg. This first victory is a telling indicator of Neil’s excellent driving ability and the power and performance of his equipment. Even though this is the first race of the season, it is a huge step in securing his second consecutive BRCA 1:8 Buggy title.

With bad luck in the main event, Drescher was still able to manage a 6th place finish and stay within reach of the early points leaders. For this event, Cragg and Drescher both used development Reedy engines paired with new Reedy EFRA 2039 exhaust systems. In addition to the excellent power output of this combination, both drivers were able to drive 10+ minutes per tank before refuelling.

Specification, prices, and the release date for this new powerplant will be released shortly.

Stay tuned!
