The new Cougar SV has really been ripping up the dirt over the last few weeks.  This weekend was no exception, with another BRCA National win for Tom Cockerill and the Cougar SV. Not only did the SV take the win but 2nd & 4th as well!!!

This weekend was Round 4 of the BRCA National series at Oswestry. Going into the event there had already been 3 different 2wd winners from 3 rounds, leaving the championship wide open.

The sun was shining and the club had laid out a nice flowing track with a few features to challenge the drivers. Qualifying was a tight affair with the top drivers been very close on times. 3 Cougar SV’s made the A main with Grant Williams 2nd, Simon Moss 3rd & Tom Cockerill 5th on the grid.

The 3 legs were all very close racing. A few small mistakes from the leading drivers meant that Tom was able to take the win from 5th on the grid. Simon came in 2nd, very close to the victory and Grant was 4th.

On Sunday the team followed up with 3 CAT SX’s in the A main, Tom, Simon and Colin May. Again the racing was very close and any mistakes were very costly. The team managed to keep it clean in the finals and improve on their qualifying positions, finishing 4th, 6th & 7th respectively.
