Grainger and Bowden Win At Aldershot BRCA TC National

Last weekends BRCA touring car national saw victories for Chris Grainger and Johnny Bowden, the event took place at the Aldershot circuit in Hampshire and attracted a full entry of 140 drivers.

In the Super Touring class it was an impressive UK debut for the new TC6 with Olly Jefferies setting FTD and putting Associated’s new touring car on pole for the three leg A final ahead of the Tamiya of Elliott Harper and the Schumacher of Grainger.

In the first final Olly was controversially hit off but recovered to finish second behind Harper, leg two saw a similar incident and Elliott was given a stop and go but the lost time took both drivers out of contention for the win, this left Chris Grainger to take the overall win and put himself well in contention for another domestic title, an excellent driver from Aldershot expert Glen Westwood saw him rewarded with second overall, Chris Kerswell completed the podium from fifth on the grid.

In the Pro Stock class Johnny Bowden had to fight off a spirited challenge from local driver Ben Cane. Johnny took pole for the A final with his Cyclone and then was pushed hard in the finals but held on for the win, Ben netted second with Chris Slater third for Associated.
