Kinwald Wins Southwest Invitational GP

Kinwald-SIGP

Brian Kinwald dominated the modified 2WD class at the recent Southwest Invitational Grand Prix held at Competition Hobbies in Tucson, Arizona. The challenging layout was typical for the Grand Prix and this year featured a cross-over jump that went over the main straight. Traction is always high at Competition Hobbies and this race was no exception and with great drivers present, it always makes for an exciting race. Qualifying was based on the fastest single run and Brian took TQ by the smallest of margins in the last qualifier, before going on to win the single leg A final in a closely fought race.
Two other X-Factory drivers attended the race with Chance Chapel and Alex Krieg also in the A final with their X-6 Squared cars. Brian also set TQ in Pro 2WD Short Course with his SCX-60. Again this was a very close race with Brian leading until the last lap, before a small mistake dropped him to second.
