The final round of the Danish 1:8 On-Road National Championship was run at GRRC club in Grewe. The track has a technically challenging layout and some rain on Friday and Saturday did not help either. Unfortunately, the weather forecast also affected the numbers of entries so the entry was a little disappointing. Championship leader Shepherd/Novarossi racer Henrik Christensen had the best chance to take overall victory.

On Saturday afternoon Henrik Christensen showed that he wanted his fourth victory of the season. He took pole-position in front of fellow Shepherd/Novarossi racer Jon Pedersen and John Jessen in third position. The 30 minute final was run on Sunday afternoon and the temperatures were really cold but dry. From the start of the final, Henrik had some problems with his engine so after four minutes, Jon Pedersen was in front of Henrik Christensen and John Jessen. Henrik’s chances of another victory were destroyed after a ten-minute long pit stop as he was hit by a another driver. Jon Pedersen never looked back for the rest of the race and with this result, had enough points to secure himself seconnd overall in the National Championship. Although he had some problems, Henrik Christensen had enough points to successfully defend his championship, claiming the 2010 Danish National 1:8 Championship title.

The final positions in the Danish Championship were:

1 Henrik Christensen  – Velox V8/Novarossi
2. Jon Pedersen  –  Velox V8/Novarossi
3. John Jessen
