Thank you very much my friends! I’ve become the 1:8 World Champion and I am out of words… after three years I finally got my first VRC win – also here in Sao Paulo…
Thanks to VRC Team Germany and special thanks to Frank Hättich – the 1:10 world champion and Tobias Brunke for his latest tips and set-up! Just before the final we found a new set-up and it worked great. Congratulations to you all and congratulations to Italy for a great final. Georgio, Antonello and Kevin – I’m sorry! And Tobias, well done on your podium position! Hope to see you all again in VRC Pro.”

For a while it looked as if Tobias was going to be the winner, but he still took a very respectable third place on the podium behind Kevin Pignotti from Italy. Tobias Brunke from Germany was only 3.5 seconds behind Kevin who ran an absolutely excellent race. Both Bürge and Brunke managed to break the Italian grip on the top three positions, in an event that was absolutely dominated by the Italians from the beginning. Giorgio Mingotti and Antonello Parisi from Italy claimed fourth and fifth place respectively after a spectacular performance at Sao Paulo. In sixth position was Laurent Delisle from France with Ahmed Aman from the Netherlands in seventh who made an outstanding debut in this World Championship.
On behalf of the VRC Team and racing commission, VRC would like to thank all racers who participated in this race for making it a great event! We wish you all a healthy and joyful 2011. VRC hope to see you all next year in the new VRC Pro environment, where they claim they will build a fantastic RC racing community together unlike anything the world of RC has ever seen before.
