ETS take their concept off-road with the creation of the Euro Off-road Series…

The organisers of the hugely popular Euro Touring Series will bring their successful concept off-road with the announcement that they are to create a Euro Off-road Series. Catering for 1:10 electric off-road classes, the EOS is the result of 12-months of lobbying by a number of top off-road racers to get ETS founders Uwe Rheinard and Scotty Ernst to bring the profile and fun element of their electric touring car series to 1:10 off-road, a category which is currently enjoying a strong resurgence in Europe.
In a year which Europe hosts the 1:10 off-road World Championships, the EOS will kick off with a three-day pilot event in Sweden at the beginning of April before the staging of a multi round series scheduled to begin next October. Having persuaded the ETS organisation to create the new series, Europe’s top drivers have been quick to get behind the first EOS race, which will run on an indoor clay track, with current European Champion Lee Martin, former champions Marc Rheinard, Hupo Hönigl and Jörn Neumann, last weekend’s Petit RC race winner Paul Bradby along with Swedish stars Viktor Wilck and David Ronnefalk already confirming they will travel to Tomelilla for the event on 1-3 April. Classes will include 2WD, 4WD and 2WD Short Course with full details of the race format, rules and information on travelling to Sweden to be announced over the coming days. In the meantime all enquiries can be directed to Uwe Rheinard here.
