After taking a stunning dominant victory in the previous day’s 2WD event, Durango/Speed Passion driver Jörn Neumann did the double by taking the win the 4WD category of the Off-Road Wars running at the Maritime Raceway venue. The battle for pole was between TLR driver Darren Bloomfield and the DEX410 of Jörn with the intense battle going down to the final round on qualifying with the FTD format. At the end, Jörn was severely hampered in the last heat and Darren held on to pole with his XXX-4 G+ chassis – these two going head-to-head each time they hit the track.

Come the A finals and the battle continued as the top two were joined by X Factory’s Ellis Stafford driving a Kyosho ZX5 FS2, Tony Truman with the Associated B44.1 and Lloyd Storey with the prototype CAT SX3. Jörn would take wins in the first two legs with a car that looked glued to the track and a driver at the top of his game. Darren gave his best and he finally got one over the visiting German in leg three as he fought off the pressure from Jörn and Tony to take the leg win. As a result, Darren claimed the runner-up spot with former Maritime Raceway winner Tony in third.
