A maximum points haul for TRF/Speed Passion driver Lee Martin at Talywain in Wales means that at the halfway stage of the 2011 BRCA 1:10 Off-Road series, the Thatcham racer already has one hand on the championship trophy. In qualifying, Lee took pole with his Tamiya TRF511 from the Kyosho Lazer FS2 of Ellis Stafford and the Associated B44.1 of the previous day’s winner, Paul Bradby. In the finals, Lee continued in style as he took the overall win as Tom Yardy driving a Yokomo B-Max moved up the grid to take second with Ellis third.

The series now moves on to Kidderminster in June where Lee has the possibility to wrap up the title with two rounds to spare. Racer will have a more information online soon as well as a more detailed report in the print edition.
