IFMAR 1:10 Off-Road World Champs Warm-Up – 2WD

The warm-up event for the 2WD class ahead of the 2011 IFMAR 1:10 Off-Road World Championships took place in Vaasa, Finland on Saturday and saw a tight and thrilling battle in qualification. At the end. Jared Tebo took pole for the A finals with his Kyosho ahead of TLR’s Daren Bloomfield and the Associated of Ryan Maifield third. The windy weather conditions affected everyone’s attempts to set fast lap times with many of the top drivers making mistakes so you could find some of them down in the B and C finals.
In the first leg of the A final Ryan Cavalieri (Associated) kept his cool to take the win from Darren and young Scandinavian star, David Ronnefalk (Kyosho). The second leg saw a battle between Darren and Jared with the former eventually taking the win with Ryan Cavalieri in third. The final leg was the decider and Darren took the lead early on after Jared made a mistake. Darren would take the race win and overall victory. Lee Martin (Tamiya) took second in the leg with Jared third.
