One week ago, the second round of the North German Championships took place in Tüttendorf near Kiel in the very north of Germany. Team Shepherd driver Lars Hoppe claimed TQ setting the fastest three consecutive laps with his Novarossi-powered Velox V8 ’11 in qualifying (35.603 seconds) followed by Serpent driver Jens Stark (36.439 seconds), Shepherd’s Timo Schröder (36.601 seconds) and Merlin Depta with his Serpent (36.732 seconds).
In the semi final, Hoppe defended his first place and finished three laps in front of Timo Schröder. The 30-minute A final saw a clear start with Hoppe pulling away from the rest of the field. Unchallenged, he crossed the finishing line in first position six laps in front of Marcel Henriksen (Kyosho) in second and Marcell Sledz (Serpent) in third position. Timo Schröder in fourth place was a little bit unlucky as a collision with another car damaged his tyres and he had to spend some extra time in the pit lane.
