Team Associated Adds 26th WC with Ryan Cavalieri

After taking TQ for the finals, it seems like Ryan Maifield would suffer the same kind of luck as Associated team mate Neil Cragg in the 2WD event. In leg one Ryan Maifield crashed on the big double and it was Team Durango’s Jörn Neumann who took the lead and looked to win with some ease until his motor died. As a result, Ryan Cavalieri took it up and won the leg. In leg two and Jorn again took the lead after Ryan Maifield crashed but coming through the ripples, his DEX410 wheelied and lost control – allowing the B44.1 of Ryan Cavalieri and Laser FS2 Jared Tebo through and it would finish in that order wit Jörn taking third.
With two wins from two legs, Ryan Cavalieri saw out leg three and Ryan Maifield didn’t mess up this time led Jörn who was right behind for almost the entire five minutes. A dramatic move on the line though gave Jörn the win and second overall with Jared Tebo talon the final podium spot.
