Double Victory for LRP at the 2WD Off-Road Worlds

The racing in the 2WD category of the 2011 IFMAR 1:10 Off-Road World Championships couldn’t go much better for LRP as top US driver Ryan Cavalieri was crowned the 2011 IFMAR World Champion ahead of team mate Ryan Maifield. On the hard-packed and extremely challenging track in Vaasa, both drivers relied on the high-tech brushless speed control from LRP. The LRP SXX TC Spec Version 2 proved to be the decisive advantage in a high-class competition. In addition, Ryan Maifield powered his car with the LRP Vector X12 motor. Both LRP drivers secured their positions on top of the field in them second and third legs. Despite constant high pressure from Ryan Maifield, Ryan Cavalieri managed to win both of the final races ahead of his team mate. After having won the first leg in style, Jared Tebo secured third overall on the podium with a fifth place in leg two.

Neil Cragg couldn’t take profit from his pole position in the starting grid and after a third place finish in leg one, he lost all chances for the victory in a crash with Jared Tebo, only a few metres from the finish line of leg two. Again, Neil was hit by bad luck before the last final when he broke on the warm-up and failed to make the start. In the end, the British LRP ace finished sixth.
LRP technology dominated the A final with four out of ten drivers relying on LRP SXX speed control technology. Three out of ten drivers trusted in the performance of the LRP Vector X12 motors. The positions of the LRP drivers in were Ryan Cavalieri first, Ryan Maifield second, Neil Cragg sixth and Peter Pinisch tenth.
