VP-Pro-Wins-in-Estonia-Team driver Rainer Ressar reports:

“Väike-Maarja hosted the second leg of the Indoor Offroad Trophy Cup. The race consisted of five qualifying runs and three finals. The morning runs were quite cold, I struggled for grip and tried the Striker UF tyre, which gave more grip. But on the other hand resulted in grip roll. Later on I changed back to Turbo Traxx UF, which was more comfortable and faster and in the end I was second at the end of qualifying.
The first final was the most intense race in a while for me and the crowd. An error in the first corner forced me back to last place with ten seconds to first place. I was taking back places throughout the final. On the last lap I caught up to first place driver Tõnu Tooming and in the last corner I made my move and took first place by 0.3 seconds. The second final was less stressful with me taking an early lead and keeping it to the end of the heat that secured the overall victory. The third final was more of a practice run as I tried some different lines and practiced high-speed cornering finishing the final in second.
Also, Viljar Kask managed to take fourth place with the Striker UF and Toomas Gustav Sula achieved third in the 1:10 2WD class with the Friction UF+Turbo Traxx UF. The brand is starting to spread amongst the racers, and hopefully the summer will show more racers using VP Pro racing gear.

Sunday saw the sixth leg of the Onroad Trophy Cup held at Saue High School. I was given the opportunity to race a Traxxas 1:16 car out of the box so the plan was simple – add stickers and go racing. Having less speed and acceleration made the racing much more intense, but in the end I managed to take third in qualifying and second overall beating three brushless cars and coming close to victory.

Traxxas 1:16
1. Üllar Kasemets – Traxxas/Brushless
2. Rainer Ressar – Traxxas/Brushed
3. Toomas Ramm – Traxxas/Brushless

I’d like to thank VP Pro for the support they have given me so far and for more great results to come.”
