_Tim-Wood-serpentLast weekend was the final round in the 1:8 on-road British National Championships held at Cotswold. On Saturday the track never dried out so very little testing was carried out and most drivers had left the circuit in the middle of the afternoon. Sunday morning saw a damp track for rounds one and two before Kyle Branson set the days TQ time in round three until Tim Wood with the OS-powered Serpent 977 took it in the fourth and final round of qualifying.
In the main final Tim got involved with a few on track incidents as Kyle took the lead and the win. Third place for Tim was enough to secure the runners-up position in the championship behind team mate Mark Green, highlighting another good year for the Serpent 977.
