MicroRC Winter Challenge Win for Dmitry and Durango

Team Durango’s Russian agent MicroRC sent them this report that they linked to us here at www.rcracer.com:

Moscow on 7-9 January 2011 hosted the largest annual indoor event for electric buggies, the MicroRC Winter Challenge 2011. The competition was organised by the MicroRC hobby shop with the support of the first Russian RC magazine RCracer, and RC clubs RCreal and RCgarage713. The competition was held over two days on a completely new track, with a variety of jumps and a vertical wall. The 4WD category in Russia has two classes within it – Stock and Super Stock with 17.5T and 10.5T control motors respectively.

The top Team Durango Russia driver Dmitry Malyshko set TQ after qualifying with his Super Stock-equipped DEX410. Alexey Blinov with a Team Durango DEX410R was the only Stock motor-equipped driver who was able qualify in the A final and therefore secured victory in the Stock class. Darin Nikita with his Team Durango DEX410 was fighting in Super Stock subclass in the “A” final where he won the third place. In the overall standings, Team Durango had five cars out of a team of eight drivers. The results of the final A final were as follows:
