No Limit RC UK was formed after competing in the RC World Championships at Diggers Dungeon, North Carolina in the USA, home of the Grave Digger monster truck. In May 2008, the group was invited to become the UK chapter of No Limit RC. No Limit is the established RC Truck organisation, (see their website here) which is based in the USA. There are numerous No Limit chapters throughout the United States, so they were were very happy to be accepted as the only No Limit chapter in Europe. No Limit RC UK puts on fun RC car displays at numerous sporting events and shows around the country using electric, nitro and petrol cars and trucks. Castle Combe

This was a real petrol-head event with hundreds of car club vehicles on display including the Sierra Cosworth 25th anniversary display. There were Wildcat white-knuckle rides, rally raid demos with Dakar and off-road vehicles, challenge truck display and winching shows, 4×4 club displays, rally car rides around the circuit and on the off-road track. The two top current WRC drivers were there in the form of Kris Meeke and Matthew Wilson, plus ex-Stig Ben Collins who interviewed some of the injured servicemen regarding Race2Recovery whose aim is to race in the 2013 Dakar Rally and raise funds for wounded British servicemen and their families.

No Limit RC had an area between the car parking and entrance, so there was a continuous audience for most of the day. The circuit provided them with two wrecker cars to damage. Unfortunately, after a warm and sunny day on Friday when No Limit RC was organising their arena, the weather changed to be cold and windy with monsoon-like squalls that made it difficult for them to do the usual display as there was a lack of grip on the grass and jumps. No Limit RC used their HPI Baja 5Bs and managed to keep the crowd entertained with some good jumps and aerobatics. Uber RC and MMR Largescale also came along with their RC cars to join in.
It was a really exciting day despite the weather. A father with his young son was watching No Limit RC at the end of the afternoon. He said, “My son didn’t want to come here this morning, now I can’t get him to go home!” This just about sums up the event.

Despite it being just a few days since the event, No Limit RC have been asked back in 2012 with an even bigger area as well as cars, skips and all sorts of stuff to jump and race and they will be integrated with the full-size 4×4 vehicles.
