serpent-spanish-podiumSerpent report from the first round of Spain’s 1:8 elector off-road Nationals where the Serpent Cobra took six places in the A final with two cars on the podium: The Nationals began last weekend in the new RC La Nucia track. With great facilities, the club staff put on a good performance at their first National race. The track is a high speed design with small double and triple jump sections where you have to keep a high speed. For the first laps we tried to follow the local drivers who were really fast. After qualifying, Serpent driver Sergio Martinez was TQ’d winning four out of five rounds followed by Daniel Vega and local driver Toni Alcalá. The finals were a bit chaotic because the track became bumpy and combined with the high speed, the drivers could make mistakes really easily. At the end, former European Champion, Daniel Vega had the pace to win the followed by TQ driver Sergio Martínez and Alberto García. It was a great performance for all of Team Serpent who had the best car in the paddock, with six drivers in the main final.
